The Board of Directors of the Society of Engineers held its periodic meeting remotely, headed by Vice President Eng. Abdullah Yusuf Al Ali and in the presence of the members: Eng. Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Al Hajri, Secretary General of the Society of Engineers, Eng. Nasser Hamad Bushehab, Eng. Rashad Bukhash, head of the specialized committees and Dr. Sheikha Nahla Ahmed Alqassimi, Head of the Youth Engineers Council. The meeting dealt with the progress of work on Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Engineering Award, which was launched by the Society and under the generous auspices of His Highness, with the aim of fostering the spirit of competition, creativity and distinction in various fields of engineering work, supporting the best innovative engineering practices and motivating workers in the fields of engineering work to contribute to the development of growth in the country. The Board also discussed the recommendation of Eng. Rashad Bukhash regarding the accreditation of specialized committees and the appointment of heads of such committees. The meeting also approved the report submitted by Eng. Suleiman Al Hajri on the directions for amending and developing the membership system in order to facilitate and accelerate membership procedures in line with the wise leadership's directions on facilitating and pleasing clients.
