Among its periodic activities aimed at refining and developing the professional capabilities of engineers working in the governmental and private sectors, the Events Section has organized a symposium entitled Legal aspects of construction contracts last week at its main office in Dubai, presented by expert Shram Safai, under full sponsorship of the UAE Society of Engineers.

The symposium dealt with the most important legal aspects and points of conflict for the various construction contracts, starting from the initial stages of construction to provision of solutions to settle disputes and legal problems.

The symposium participants stressed the importance of such lectures as they promote the concept of legal culture of engineers, enabling them to optimally use construction contracts and avoid legal dilemmas thereof. The participants praised at the same time the step taken by the Society in organizing that symposium for free.
