Peace, mercy and blessings of God
At first, it's my pleasure to extend my best wishes and congratulations on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha,
and on this occasion; I heartedly wish all the prosperity and happiness to the Arab and Islamic nations.
The Society of Engineers UAE is organizing and supervising numerous international events and forums
hosted by our powerful and promising state in the engineering field. Following the great success of the
4th Arabian Tunneling Conference & Exhibition (Dubai - 2017) and the 20th Gulf Engineering Forum,
preparations are under way to organize the World Tunnel Congress «Dubai -2018», one of the most
important global events in the field of engineering, which will have a great international participation of
experts and specialists from all over the world.
It is important to point out that the organization of this Congress is a reaffirmation of international confidence
in the immense capabilities and potential of the UAE, under our wise leadership and the sapient guidance
of our Government, to receive and organize major international engineering events, as a result of the wide
successes that have already been achieved by Emirati people. Their expertise continued to be witnessed
by the most famous international figures of experts and specialists who attended the 4th Arabian Tunneling
Conference & Exhibition, who praised the cultural renaissance of UAE in the engineering sector.
The Society of Engineers UAE continues its rising journey, in line with the global leap in the field of
tunneling, which has reached huge developments witnessed by all observers, with a network of tunnels
built to the highest international standards and specifications, besides hosting the World Tunnel Congress
«Dubai -2018», and the various fore coming scientific events which will introduce the latest international
experiences, in addition to the new initiative to explore the futuristic trends in everything that may serve
the development in the UAE and the region.
It is our hope that as we race ahead to prepare for the organization of the World Tunnel Congress «Dubai
-2018» to provide an honorable model, we trust the most in the capabilities of the Board Directors of
the Society of Engineers and its executive management, to present a bright image that reflects UAE
excellence in organization at all levels, as they have great potential, stands behind all the achievements.
We hope that all those involved in the organization endeavors, will achieve the desired success.
Through preparations for the organization of World Tunnel Congress 2018, and the various activities of
the Society of Engineers, we are very pleased with the great strides accomplished in the development
and modeling of work, by employing modern technology, in order to serve the UAE engineering sector,
and provide services to the Association members, at the highest standards and quality specifications,
especially in the area of training and rehabilitation for young engineers whether nationals or Arabs in
general, as well as members of the communities residing in the Emirates, which is the basic goal adopted
by the Association, which is to provide an integrated system of complementary engineering knowledge to
benefit everyone.
