The social initiatives indicates to the interaction of UAE various institutions and entities with social
issues, as they are an integral part of its components and aim to achieve the sustainable development
in all aspects. The social responsibility is one of the important pillars of social life, as it is one of
the means of societal progress. The value of the individual at its own society is measured by taking
responsibility towards itself and others.
The success of social initiatives is closely linked with the proper planning, phased preparation and
careful study of all aspects before launching, particularly those related to social educational, health
and societal issues and concerns. Such initiatives aim to enhance the concept of social responsibility
and based upon SOE strategy towards society and openness to all engineering-related educational
institutions. Last May, SOE signed a cooperation agreement with Ajman University to exchange
experiences and utilize the cumulative experience of Ajman University in engineering research and
studies, complete the SOE role in refining and developing the skills and potentials of both the engineers
and engineering students, present visions and ideas that upgrade the engineering work and achieve the
best engineering practices and build bridges between both parties.
My brothers and fellow engineers;
The Board of Directors are pledged to move forward with upholding SOE at all levels; from interaction
with societal issues, building bridges and cooperation with the UAE engineering-related issues to
serve the SOE members, sponsoring and supporting the engineering events held within the UAE by
participating in the engineering exhibitions and conferences hosted by UAE to permanent presence and
active participation in regional, Arab and global forums.
Currently, SOE Board of Directors study social initiatives that aim to helping the troubled national
students of Colleges of Engineering and provide them with all forms of support to complete their study
and achieve their aspirations and hopes for the future.
Moreover, Eng. Sulaiman AbdulRahman Al Hajri, General Secretary of SOE, launched another initiative
represented in a guideline for those who intend to build their houses, which includes an explanation for
building phases, the mechanism for contracts and procedures of building.
Last, we confirm that we will spare no efforts to provide the best and most distinguished services to
SOE members to be worthy of their faith.
