Sir John Armitt, Chairman of the Institution of Civil Engineers, visited the Society of Engineers UAE to stimulate cooperation between the Institution and the Society and to support the Society’s role in worldwide events and raising the qualification and engineering education level.

Sir John Armitt has praised the achievements of the Society in organizing exhibitions and conferences with great success, and providing excellent educational and training services. Additionally, he stressed the importance of continuing educational improvement and development plans applied by the Society in line with the UAE plans of overall development.

Sir John Armitt met with Eng. Rayed Alarashi, member of the Board, and Eng. Tariq Deemas, General Manager of the Society of Engineers, and Dr. Sabih Khisaf, fellow member of the Institution of Civil Engineers. During his visit to the office of Society of Engineers, they awarded Sir John Armitt, Chairman of the Institution of Civil Engineers, an appreciation award for his contributions to the engineering world at the local and global levels.
