Society of Engineers UAE presents Dubai’s bid for hosting the 38th International Conference
on Coastal Engineering 2022

For the first time to be done through video conferencing, the Society of Engineers UAE, in cooperation with Dubai Municipality and Dubai Business Events,
 presented the bid for hosting the 38th International Conference on Coastal Engineering 2022.  Eng. Rayed Al Arashi, board member of the Society of 
Engineers UAE, presented the bid for Dubai to host the event, before a committee of Coastal Engineering experts and academics through video 
conferencing. Dubai Municipality and the Dubai Tourism provided all the necessary support to prepare for the presentation as well as attending 
representatives.

The presentation included impressive scenes of the achievements of Dubai in the field of costal engineering, visible in the expansion of the city
shorelines. Dubai provides ample comfort and ease of movement for the participants of the conference, as the Emirate of Dubai currently has first-class 
transport and accommodation services, such as Emirates Airlines, Dubai Metro and a large group of diverse hotels that can accommodate the masses 
attending the conference. Similarly, Dubai has the expertise and a history of successful achievements in the arena of hosting large conferences. Some 
of the famous, uniquely executed costal engineering projects in Dubai are the Palm Jumeirah Island, in addition to the under construction La Mer project.
